Kensington Circus Pub is the home of “Bangers and Grass” hosted by world-class Bluegrass musician Bill Evans, in his words: “Some of the best musicians in the world, in bluegrass music, live within a mile of this spot,”
Evans, is a Virginian who studied American music history in grad school at UC Berkeley. Among the neighbors he cobbled together, fiddler Chad Manning plays with Laurie Lewis, and guitarist Jim Nunally plays with David Grisman. Mandolinist Tom Bekeny plays with Kathy Kallick, and bassist Steve Pottier is with the Circle R Boys. Evans just released an album “In Good Company,” featuring Tim O’Brien.
