The sound tastes like Tom Waits, Joe Henry and The Wood Brothers wrapped up in a tortilla dipped in honey and served up at the local speakeasy, delivering a feast of gritty soul that ranges from smoky blues to melancholy ballads to rowdy swing. The fat notes of the bass resonate with Joshua’s deep gravelly vocals as he recounts tales of the road, drunken sailors, emancipation, love, death, promises and destiny.

The players’ ability to surrender to the music allows them to deliver a sound that it honest and transformative, creating a sincere stage presence that continues to win them fans from all walks of life.
