The Missing Man Quartet plays original interpretations of Jazz and Great American Songbook standards in a straight-ahead Jazz style. However, with the inclusion of mandolin (Tom Bekeny) along with drums (Gerry Kennett), bass (Craig Griffeath), and guitar (Greg Reginato), the instrumental format can’t be described as standard or straight-ahead. The Missing Man tweaks the standard jazz format by adding a tonal color rarely heard in mainstream Jazz.
